FLOOR TRAP AVAILABLE

A floor trap is a plumbing fixture that is installed in the floor of a bathroom, kitchen, or other wet area to collect wastewater and prevent sewer gases from entering the building. Floor traps are also known as nahni traps or gully traps.

How Does a Floor Trap Work?

A floor trap works by creating a water seal. The water seal is a small amount of water that is trapped in the trap, which prevents sewer gases from rising up through the drain. The water seal is created by a U-shaped bend in the trap, which allows the water to collect.

The Importance of Floor Traps

Floor traps are an important part of any plumbing system. They help to prevent sewer gases from entering the building, which can cause health problems and unpleasant odors. Floor traps also help to prevent insects and vermin from entering the building.

Types of Floor Traps

There are two main types of floor traps:

  • P-traps: P-traps are the most common type of floor trap. They are made of a U-shaped pipe, with the water seal located at the bend in the pipe.
  • S-traps: S-traps are a less common type of floor trap. They are made of an S-shaped pipe, with the water seal located at the bend in the pipe.

Maintenance of Floor Traps

Floor traps should be inspected and cleaned regularly to ensure that the water seal is not broken. If the water seal is broken, sewer gases can enter the building. Floor traps can be cleaned with a plunger or a drain snake.

Floor traps are an important part of any plumbing system. They help to prevent sewer gases, insects, and vermin from entering the building. Floor traps should be inspected and cleaned regularly to ensure that they are working properly.

Here are some additional tips for maintaining floor traps:

  • Use a plunger or drain snake to clear any blockages in the trap.
  • Check the water seal regularly to make sure that it is not broken.
  • Replace the trap if it is damaged or cracked.
  • Have a plumber inspect the trap if you are unsure of its condition.

TYPES OF COMPOSITE PANELS

Fire Retardant ACP

A Fire Retardant ACP sheet is made in the form of a honeycomb design that brings down the intensity of the fire and the heat produced from any fire outbreak. The air bubbles situated between the honeycomb design ensure to trap the fire by creating a vacuum in between the layers.

Non-Combustible ACP

It is the same as a traditional composite panel; however, what makes it different is the technology of the core, which is constructed from a 100% aluminium structure rather than any combustible material. It is made of an advanced mineral compound that is best for restraining the flammability of the minor polymeric content and restricting flame propagation and smoke generation.

Anti-Bacterial ACP

Anti-bacterial ACP sheets actively shield you and your loved ones from harmful bacteria such as coliform, staphylococcus aureus, salmonella, enteritis bacteria etc.

Based on thickness;

3mm ACP

Aluminium Composite Panels having 3mm thickness, it has two layers of Aluminium both over and beneath the core. The thickness ensures longevity, as well as the thickness, being ideal both for exterior and interior applications.

4mm ACP

ACP sheets that boast a 4mm thickness are ideal to have multiple use cases, including both interior and exterior applications.

6mm ACP

6mm ACP sheets can withstand not only extreme temperatures but also are water-resistant. They can also actively resist mold, swelling, and rusting.

ADVANTAGES OF ALUMINIUM COMPOSITE PANELS

Aluminum Composite Panels are sandwiched panels having a polyethylene core between layers of aluminum sheets. It is made of thermoplastic material that is both combustible and non-combustible and is utilized both inside and outside of structures. These composite panels are created by joining two sheets of aluminum to a core made of another material. All types of buildings can benefit from the use of aluminum composite panels. The panels’ primary function is to support the dead wall and beautify the building’s elevation. For flat aluminum bars, aluminum composite panels are also used to increase durability. They are offered in a variety of colors, sizes, and forms.

Lamination process is adopted to manufacture the aluminium composite panels. Its top and the bottom layers are of coated aluminium sheets and the core sandwiched between them is polyethylene. It comprises of;

  • Protection Film
  • PVDF/Polyester Resin Based Coating
  • Primer Coating
  • Aluminium Coil
  • Adhesive Film (Polyolefin)
  • Polyethylene Core (LDPE)
  • Adhesive Film (Polyolefin)
  • Aluminium Coil
  • Service Coating (Anti-corrosive)

ADVANTAGES

The aluminium is lighter than other cladding panel materials. When it is exposed to air it forms a special layer of aluminium oxide which protects the panels from rusting and corrosion. Aluminium composite panels are subjected to the process called anodization which increases aluminium panel thickness. Aluminium material are unaffected even  exposed to moisture and sunlight which is a major advantage of using it. Its advantages include;

  • Can bend, fold and turn easily
  • Flatness
  • Wide range of colours and finishes
  • Excellent thermal and acoustic insulation
  • Borer, termite, and fungi resistant
  • Available in different thicknesses
  • Can be made fire retardant
  • Have antimicrobial properties
  • UV ray resistant
  • Lightweight and corrosion and shock resistant
  • Environment-friendly
  • Fully recyclable
  • Withstands extreme weather conditions
  • Easy to clean
  • Easy to perforate
  • Earthquake resistant

CEMENT MANUFACTURERS IN KENYA

Bamburi Cement was founded in 1951 and began making cement in 1954. Currently, they have two cement plants in Mombasa and Athiriver as well as precast and readymix concrete manufacturing facilities in Nairobi (Industrial Area, Athiriver, and Two Rivers) and Mombasa.

One of Kenya’s top-quality cement manufacturers, Mombasa Cement was established in 2007 to serve the building construction market.

In Nairobi, Savannah Cement runs a cement-grinding facility with an annual capacity of 2.4 million tons. It was the first company to use the roller press technology to commission a new generation cement grinding mill.

Since 1933, the East African Portland Cement has been making cement.

The third significant project for Devki Group’s diversification and expansion was National Cement Company Limited. In 2010, they started making and supplying cement under the Simba Cement brand.

CONSTRUCTION NAIROBI EXPRESSWAY EXPANSION

The Nairobi Expressway is looking for feedback from the public before moving forward with plans to build a new, five-lane Haile-Selassie Exit.

The upgraded Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) Entrance and the upgraded Museum Hill Exit A should also be visible in the views.

According to the Kenya National Highways Authority, the government of Kenya “has identified the need to optimize and upgrade some of the toll stations on the 27.1 km Nairobi Expressway.”

The upgrade and toll optimization will be carried out by CALE Infrastructure Construction Company, a division of China Road and Bridge Corporation Kenya.

An expert firm with a registered name, Centric Africa, has been hired to conduct the environmental and social impact assessment.
