PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Plascon Rust Remover is designed for the removal of rust from
galvanized/zinc/structural steel surfaces.
It improves adhesion of coating systems.
TYPICAL USES
Plascon Rust Remover can be used on zinc/galvanized/structural steel
substrates like hand railings, piping, gratings and roof plates etc.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Before applying Plascon Rust Remover, remove all oil, grease and other
foreign matter from the surface by using oil cleaner or other
degreasing materials.

1. Plascon Rust Remover is preferably used by brush or roller, but
may also be applied by dipping. The surface should be
thoroughly wetted and kept wet for the total treatment period.

2. Plascon Rust Remover reacts with the zinc/galvanized
surfaces/rust which will result in a colour change. Reaction
takes at normally ambient temperatures, 15-30 minutes but lower
temperatures will lengthen reaction time. If the surface does
not change in appearance, adding more Plascon Rust Remover may
be required.

3. Allow the Plascon Rust Remover to remain on the surface for
upto maximum 30 minutes in order to fully complete the
reaction. Wash the entire surface vigorously with clean water
to remove acid remains.

4. Allow the surface to dry thoroughly and immediately apply the
coating materials. Any white deposits that are formed due to
long exposure, or an improper wash, should be removed using
additional water wash combined with a stiff brush.
